River Arts is excited to announce a new collaboration with Grass Roots Art and Community Effort (G.R.A.C.E).

This winter, Music and Movement is broadcasting LIVE on Facebook. Tune in the first Saturday of every month to sing songs and move to music. Each month will be hosted by musicians and performers from the show Blue Man Group.

There is so much to look forward to in 2021, and the River Arts Board wants to wish everyone a happy holiday season! We also want to spend a moment thanking our staff, who completed a heroic reorganization project ahead of our busy winter season!

Each month we’ll take a look at some of our favorite ceramic artists, talk about a clay technique, and attempt to complete a clay studio challenge. Inspired by the Great Pottery Throwdown, we’ll spin the wheel of chance to see if we can throw blindfolded, make a 2-minute teapot or put a handle on a mug with only one hand!

Art is not just painting or drawing. It is music, dance, exhibits, cooking, three dimensional projects, community sharing experiences and more. Many people have never had the opportunity to be exposed to the arts, River Arts is very accessible. It has a warm and welcoming presence the moment you walk through the door.

Bring your mask and stop by River Arts this weekend to shop in our expanded Artisan Gift Sale. Our gift shop is expanding into our downstairs common room! Support local artists by choosing handmade gifts for your loved ones this holiday season. Our clay studio is having a seconds and one-off sale, and all proceeds go directly to supporting River Arts!

Masks are required. In order to maintain social distancing we will have a strict limited building capacity. We ask if you’ve traveled out of state or had a multi-family household gathering to wait until your 14 day quarantine is over or until a negative COVID test, as per the Governors mandate.

Reflecting on the changes that have taken place at River Arts since COVID, Nan shares news from this past season including the Community Scarecrow Challenge and shares her enthusiasm for the upcoming CSArt subscription.
